Make smart use of downtime for installation trackers

The "construction leave" is upon us as it is every year. Depending on which province/arrondissement you belong to, the dates of construction leave may differ for you. How to make the most of this period, you'll find out in this blog!

Many companies take vacations at the same time, because in the construction industry people are very dependent on each other. If they didn't, there would be a lot of unnecessary disruption.

Take, for example, the construction of a new garden with a concrete patio. When the company supplying the concrete has just had a vacation, work on the rest of the garden cannot continue. This not only affects this project, but subsequent projects are also delayed.

It may, but it should not!

Many are convinced that construction leave is an "obligation," but this is not the case at all. However, employer and employee organizations do recommend taking vacation during this period as it causes the least possible disruption to all construction companies.

Although there is no obligation, some 90% of companies participate in construction leave. Of course, as a company you are only legally in order if this is included in the labor regulations.

Are there any exceptions?

Of course! As you could read above, 90% of the construction companies participate in the construction leave, which immediately also means that about 10% of the construction companies decide not to participate. One reason for this could be a project that needs to be finished urgently. In such a case, inform at least two parties: discuss this with your employees, of course, and also inform the labor inspection.

Use downtime in construction leave for installations track & trace

Did you know that a vehicle monitor can help you cut costs? The system gives you insights into your team's fuel consumption and driving style, among other things. After analyzing the available tracking data, you can coach individual employees to drive more consciously and economically. In this way, you can significantly reduce operational costs related to fuel, maintenance and repairs. In the medium term, it will certainly also have a positive impact on insurance premiums.

Do you wish to equip your fleet with a track & trace system? During construction leave, your entire team is inactive for 3 weeks and so are your company vehicles. The ideal time to gather all vehicles in one central location to perform the installation quickly and efficiently.

As a helping hand, we offer you an extra promotion: with an order before July 15 and an installation date scheduled before August 31, you get every 4th installation for free. So you only pay for 3 installations and save 100 euros per 4 vehicles!

Does equipment regularly get lost on site or in your company? With CHECK.connects, you accurately map your assets and manage them without problems. Both your cranes, drills, mixers and other mechanical things need to undergo an inspection every so often, to ensure that they are safe to be used.

CHECK.connects helps you remember inspections, maintenance and provides an overall structure within your (construction) company so you have less to worry about.

With an order placed before July 15 and an installation date scheduled for August 31, enjoy our special promotion!
