Legislation & Compliance
Checkinatwork (CIAW) is the mandatory electronic attendance tracking system for temporary or mobile construction sites in Belgium. Every contractor and subcontractor on a construction site with a total value exceeding 500,000 euros (excl. VAT) is required to register all workers present—including self-employed individuals, temporary workers, and foreign workers with a Limosa notification. Checkinatwork is mandatory on construction sites where the total contract value exceeds 500,000 euros (excluding VAT). Smaller sites fall below this threshold, but the RSZ may also impose this requirement on smaller projects. It is always recommended to register even for projects below the threshold—to avoid fines and disputes with the social inspectorate. AllConnects makes registration so simple that even smaller sites can do it without any extra paperwork.
PC124 requires construction companies to track each employee’s commute and calculate an accurate commuting allowance based on the distance between their home and the job site. Doing this manually is time-consuming and prone to errors. With AllConnects, the driver is automatically identified via an ID badge in the vehicle, trips are recorded, and the calculation is performed automatically and correctly—without manual input from HR or the driver. AllConnects offers several registration methods: via the CIAW app on a smartphone, via an NFC tag or badge at the site gate, or automatically via the vehicle upon arrival at the site. Foreign workers with a Limosa notification are registered in the same way. All data is sent directly to the RSZ database—without any extra steps for the site manager or HR. Yes. In addition to fleet management for vehicles, AllConnects also offers equipment management through CHECK.connect. This allows you to track the location and usage of machines, tools, and equipment via GPS trackers—even without a power source. You can immediately see where each piece of equipment is located, who is using it, and when maintenance is due. This helps you avoid loss, theft, and unexpected downtime on the job site. AllConnects supports all three methods, depending on your site procedures. Using the CIAW app, employees can check in themselves via their smartphone. Using an NFC tag or badge at the site gate, registration takes place without a smartphone. Automatic registration via the vehicle works for drivers arriving at the site in a company vehicle—registration then takes place without any action on their part. You can choose the method that best suits your site organization, or combine them.
