Burglar alarm with monitoring center

The Risk

Commercial vehicles remain a prime target

Vans and light trucks are high on the list of targets for organized theft. They’re easy to move, easy to resell, and are often left unattended—at a construction site, on a public road, or on an unsupervised company property. And the damage doesn’t stop with the vehicle.

The vehicle itself

A stolen van is usually taken off the road within an hour. Without rapid location, it will be written off as a total loss, resulting in replacement costs and a delay.

What's Inside

Tools, measuring equipment, machinery, laptops, and documents. In many cases, the contents of a fully equipped van are worth more than the van itself.

The Standstill

A crew without a truck is stuck. Construction sites get pushed back, appointments with customers get rescheduled, and your schedule for the rest of the week is thrown off.

A standard track-and-trace system tells you after the fact where your vehicle has been . But at three in the morning, no one is checking that. With a theft alarm connected to a monitoring center, however, every alert is received by a team that is staffed around the clock and springs into action immediately.

The Procedure

What Happens When the Alarm Goes Off

An alert is only useful if someone responds to it. Every alarm from your AC.PROTECT FLEET system is received by a control center that is staffed around the clock. Who takes the first step depends on the type of theft—and it’s important to understand that difference.

Scenario 1

The dispatch center takes action itself

If your vehicle is towed away or shows suspicious movement while the ignition is off or the engine isn't running. The classic scenario: your vehicle disappears from the parking lot or construction site overnight.

1

The alarm is received automatically. The system forwards the alert directly to the control center, without any action required from you or your driver.

2

The operator evaluates the alarm. Sabotage, tampering, exiting a geofence zone, movement without contact, or a power outage.

3

Your contact person will receive a phone call to verify that the situation is legitimate. A vehicle being taken to the garage is cleared in no time.

4

The vehicle is monitored continuously. In the event of a confirmed or suspected theft, the control center keeps the vehicle under constant surveillance.

Scenario 2

You set the dispatch center in motion

In the case of theft where the thief drives away in the vehicle. The tracking system cannot distinguish this from a normal trip on its own.

1

You'll receive a notification about suspicious activity, or you'll be carjacked.

2

You call the dispatch center right away using your personal code. That code identifies you immediately, so no time is wasted on verification.

3

The dispatch center takes over. From that point on, your vehicle is continuously monitored, and you are no longer responsible for monitoring it.

4

We are working with the police to locate and recover the vehicle.

Succession doesn't stop at the border

Stolen commercial vehicles rarely disappear within the country's borders. The control center tracks them across Europe, so a vehicle heading abroad remains under surveillance.

The Solution

AC.PROTECT FLEET consists of two interdependent components: a device that cannot be turned off without someone noticing, and a platform where you can see for yourself what’s happening.

The hardware behind your burglar alarm

A rugged 4G device, permanently installed and out of sight.

Permanently installed and concealed. The tracker is powered by the vehicle's electrical system and has its own backup battery, so it continues to operate in the event of a power outage.
Installation by a professional. Always performed by our own technicians, either at our workshop in Kontich or at an authorized repair shop.
Sabotage is detected. A power outage or loss of the GPRS connection is reported immediately.
Movement without the ignition on. If the vehicle moves without the ignition being turned on, or if it leaves a geofence zone, a notification or alarm is automatically triggered.
For every type of vehicle. Commercial vehicles, vans, light trucks, and rolling stock.

The software: live tracking, geofences, and notifications

You can track everything yourself via the FLEET.connect platform, which includes a FLEET.PRO subscription.

Live tracking. The current location of every vehicle in your fleet, at any time.
Geofence zones. Decide for yourself where a vehicle should be—and when.
Trip history and reports. Where has a vehicle been, and when? Also valuable as evidence following an incident.
Vehicle notifications and alerts: geofence, no power, no GPRS, speed, low battery, SOS button, motion, and ignition off.
Available anywhere. Monitor via PC, tablet, or smartphone.
Starting with three vehicles—not necessarily your entire fleet. AC.PROTECT FLEET is offered exclusively to B2B customers, with a minimum of three vehicles. In practice, companies often make targeted selections: executive cars, newer delivery vans, and other high-value vehicles. If you want to equip your entire fleet, that’s also possible—we’ll plan the rollout in phases so your operations aren’t disrupted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About a Burglar Alarm System with a Monitoring Center

How many vehicles do I need to have to sign up for AC.PROTECT FLEET?

For fleets of three or more vehicles. AllConnects offers this solution exclusively to businesses, not to private individuals. The reason is practical: installation, follow-up, and arrangements with the dispatch center are handled on a fleet-by-fleet basis, not for individual vehicles.

How much would this cost for a fleet of ten vehicles?

The rate of €1,081, excluding VAT, applies per vehicle. For ten vehicles, that amounts to €10,810, excluding VAT, including the hardware, installation in Kontich, the 24/7 connection to the control center, and the first year of FLEET.PRO.

Starting in the second year, the FLEET.PRO subscription is added. Feel free to request a customized quote, and we’ll calculate the cost for you based on your actual fleet.

Do I pay extra for each dispatch from the emergency dispatch center?

No. The dispatch center’s follow-up services are fully included in your subscription. Whether you receive one alert in a year or ten, there is no separate invoice per alert, per phone call, or per follow-up.

Third-party costs are, of course, excluded from this—such as towing or repairs following an attempted break-in.

Do I need to equip my entire fleet?

No. Most companies make targeted choices: executive cars, the newest delivery vans, the most expensive vehicles. These are exactly the items where theft would hit hardest or where your insurer requires additional security measures.

Of course, you can also equip your entire fleet. The minimum of three vehicles applies to the order, not to the size of your fleet.

How does the installation process work for an entire fleet?

Installation is always performed by our own technicians, either at our workshop in Kontich or at an authorized repair shop. On-site installation is available upon request.

We equip an entire fleet in consultation with you, following a phased schedule. This means your vehicles won’t all be out of service at the same time.

What if a thief tries to disable the tracker?

That is detected. The device is permanently installed and concealed, and has its own backup battery, so it continues to operate in the event of a power outage. Both a power outage and the loss of the GPRS connection are reported immediately.

In other words: an attempt at sabotage is itself an alarm.

Will this lower my insurance premium?

There is no automatic rule for this. What your insurer or broker will take into account, however, is that your risk is demonstrably lower: vehicles are located more quickly, and fewer have to be written off as total losses after theft.

So it’s a factor to consider in your application, not a guaranteed discount. Discuss it with your insurance agent during your next review of your fleet policy.
