The challenges of vehicle theft and GPS sabotage for fleet managers
Commercial vehicle theft hits industries with large fleets hard, leading to significant financial concerns for fleet managers, banks and insurers.
In addition to the threat of sabotage, such as disrupting or removing vehicle trackers, faulty SIM cards and broken devices increase the vulnerability of vehicles.
To minimize these risks, maximum security is essential. All-Connects offers an extra layer of security on top of our standard tracking solutions, so your fleet is optimally protected.
Add additional security to your fleet to prevent car theft
To solve the security challenges for large fleets, we use our legendary vehicle GPS tracker AC.PRO and a Bluetooth®-based BLE sensor tag.
This BLE tag is wireless, has a battery life of up to 10 years and comes with two mounting points or optional self-adhesive tape for easy attachment to any vehicle. This combination of two Teltonika devices is a sufficient and affordable way to noticeably improve fleet security.
The benefits of this theft protection solution are clear:
Fleet security under control
Add BLE sensors to your company fleet to prevent car theft and locate them faster if they do get stolen.
Better prepared for fate
Data shows that car theft is still a current problem; therefore, good preparation is a smart idea.
Autonomous network
Fleet security is increased with minimal human intervention.
Affordable and quickly installed
Our wireless BLE sensors offer an economical solution, and are ready to use for installation via 2 mounting points or self-adhesive tape. Easy to replace after end of life (+/-5 years).
Great for large fleets
The more vehicles equipped with the combination of tracker & sensor, the more efficient the solution. There is a greater chance of another commercial vehicle passing the vehicle with a compromised tracker.
Saving on insurance costs
This extra security that provides theft prevention and more recovered vehicles helps save on insurance premiums and investments to replace vehicles.
How does the combination of GPS and Bluetooth work?
Our vehicle trackers are (or will be) mounted in all fleet vehicles. Then additionally our BLE sensor is hidden somewhere in the vehicle, for example at the back. The AllConnects sensor continuously transmits its location via Bluetooth®. If the vehicle is stolen and the GPS tracker is found and cracked, the BLE sensor continues to transmit.
If another vehicle in the fleet is in the vicinity, the tracker reads this BLE data from the stolen vehicle and sends it to the server and tracking platform, informing those responsible of the situation and providing an approximate location of the stolen vehicle.
This allows fleet operators and managers to take the appropriate action to locate the vehicle. It is worth noting that conventional jamming does not block our sensor's Bluetooth® signal.
A wide range.
The AllConnects BLE sensors have a range of up to 80 meters, so even if a vehicle whose tracker was stolen is farther from the street, it will still be detected.
Additionally, if the bluetooth tracker is tracked by more than one passing vehicle tracker, more accurate location information is gathered, increasing the likelihood that a stolen vehicle will be recovered more quickly.
Simple management.
Our BLE sensor is affordable and easy to install, adding an extra layer of security to the fleet effortlessly.
An intuitive and easy-to-use mobile app is provided for quick configuration, data scanning and troubleshooting via Bluetooth® connection. The sensor is also compatible with all AllConnects GPS trackers with Bluetooth® functionality.
