Getting drivers to check their tachograph records also required dispatchers and, in some cases, other employees, which was a major drain on the company's resources. As the fleet grew, this type of process organization became ineffective. Therefore, the company began looking for a solution for daily task management.

Currently, hardware is installed on almost all commercial vehicles - cars, trucks, tractors and subsidiary vehicles. OtankiMill uses GPS tracking, fuel monitoring, remote digital tachograph downloading, driving behavior analysis, vehicle inspection and other solutions. The data collected is synchronized with the company's ERP system, which uses it to control business processes.

"Shortly after introducing the tracking solutions, we saw improvements in transportation quality and efficiency - we could see in real time where our vehicles were and plan next tasks in advance," Jānis Lanka says of the results.
Another significant improvement is the change in fuel consumption - using the fuel monitoring solution reduced this by 10%. It is also more convenient to view all the information about a vehicle, such as the status of mandatory vehicle inspections, licenses, insurance, etc., and to use the mobile app, which is convenient for both field staff and our customers, who can easily see the location of the vehicle and the progress of the work.
