Time tracking based on track and trace

How much time do your employees spend on a construction site or project location? How long are they on the road? Who is driving which vehicle and when? And who is riding along as a passenger? When you equip your vehicles with track & trace—possibly linked to a badge or key reader—you can see all of this in real time in an app on your PC, tablet, or smartphone.

Thanks to the integration with your accounting software and your payroll service provider’s software, your invoices, payroll, and reimbursements are always spot on, down to the smallest detail.

Down to the second

Thanks to the GPS tracker in your vehicles, you can track your employees’ locations in real time. This way, you know exactly what time they arrive at the job site or destination and what time they leave. For each employee, you can see how many hours they’ve worked and spent traveling.

This saves you a lot of time and money, because the tracker and the app completely replace your manual record-keeping: with just a few clicks, everything is calculated, processed, and invoiced or paid out. And your employees no longer have to fill out or keep track of anything either.

Driver identification: additional detailed time recording

Using a badge or key fob reader, you can automatically identify who is behind the wheel of your vehicles. This way, you know exactly when your employees left in a vehicle and when they arrived at the job site or their destination.

And that way, you'll also know who was riding along as a passenger. This is useful for calculating your commute and work-related mileage, as well as your transportation allowance.

What do our customers say?

Time tracking simply pays for itself through the costs we save. In the past, there were employees who would get stuck in traffic or take a quick detour home. That doesn’t happen anymore, because they know we’re watching. Disputes over hours worked are also a thing of the past. Sometimes a client says we’ve billed too many hours. Thanks to that automatic time tracking, I have proof that those hours were actually worked, because we can see how long a vehicle was on site.

Checkin@Work: attendance registration in construction

Automatic time tracking is also a solution for mandatory attendance tracking on construction sites with projects valued at over 500,000 euros. Manually checking in all your employees at different sites wastes a lot of time every day.

Thanks to our Checkin@Work app, this check-in happens automatically as soon as your employees clock in at the job site using their badge, ID card, Limosa form, or Dallas key. Our app automatically sends the attendance records to the government’s online Checkin@Work system.

Checkin@Work systems – automatic compliance with the law

All identification methods are supported: badge, Dallas key, Construbadge, eID, QR code, and Limosa.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is time registration mandatory in the construction industry?
For construction sites with a total value of more than €500,000 (excluding VAT), attendance registration via Checkin@Work is required by law. This applies to all persons present on the site: employees, self-employed persons, subcontractors, and foreign workers. In addition to this legal obligation, more and more construction companies are also opting for automatic time registration on smaller sites, as it saves them time and administrative costs.
How does automatic time registration work in construction?
Using a GPS tracker in your company vehicles or a badge/key reader, the system automatically registers when an employee leaves, arrives at the site, and leaves again. All data is visible in real time in a dashboard and can be exported directly to your accounting package or social secretariat. This completely replaces manual timesheets.
What is the difference between time registration and attendance registration (CIAW)?
Attendance registration (Checkin@Work / CIAW) is the legally required registration of who is present on a construction site, and is forwarded to the RSZ. Time registration goes one step further: it also records the exact hours per employee, driving time, site visits, and mobility kilometers—and is used for invoicing, payroll, and post-calculation. AllConnects combines both in one integrated solution.
What authentication methods are supported?
AllConnects supports all common identification methods: RFID badge, Dallas key, Construbadge, LISA badge, company badge, identity card, and QR code (also for foreign workers with Limosa documents). This means that employees do not need to carry an extra badge in addition to what they already use.
Can time tracking be integrated with my payroll system?
Yes. AllConnects' time registration data can be integrated with most ERP packages and social secretariats via API. This means that hours worked, mobility allowances, and site visits are processed automatically—without the need for manual retyping.
Does time tracking also work for employees working at multiple job sites?
Absolutely. The system tracks every employee across multiple locations in a single day. Geofencing automatically registers when someone enters or leaves a work site—even if there is no time clock on site. This gives you a correct and complete overview at all times, regardless of the number of active work sites.
How much does a time tracking solution for the construction industry cost?
The price depends on the number of vehicles, employees, and desired features. AllConnects works with subscription plans based on actual usage. Request a free quote—we will propose a solution tailored to the size and needs of your company.
