AGR-GPS tablets ensure penalty-free manure transport

We specifically chose AllConnects because they are recognized by the government for AGR manure transport. We started with just one truck, and now we have a whole arsenal of track-and-trace hardware and equipment.

The challenge: manure transport is regulated down to the centimeter

Manure transport in Belgium is one of the most regulated activities in the agricultural sector. The government requires that every transport be tracked, digitized, and documented. This means real-time GPS tracking, linking to government systems, and zero margin for technical errors. The penalties for violations are severe.

Rovetra was looking for a system that could meet all their needs: AGR monitoring, track & trace, and tachograph reading. They found that combination at AllConnects — one of the few providers with official government recognition for AGR manure transport. The first meeting took place at the trade fair in Weelde, and since then, the collaboration has only grown.

The solution: AGR-GPS with hardware in both tractor and trailer

AllConnects' AGR-GPS system consists of hardware that is built into both the tractor and the trailer. From the moment a transport departs, the government can monitor it live. This is not an option — it is a legal obligation.

Reliability is paramount with this system. AllConnects works with 4G and careful network selection, guaranteeing uptime of over 90%. If something does go wrong, a dedicated support team of five people is on standby around the clock.

More than AGR: the tablet as a fully digital workstation

What started as an AGR requirement quickly became a much broader digital tool for Rovetra. The tablet installed in every vehicle for the AGR connection was converted into a fully-fledged mobile workstation with a SIM card. Rovetra now uses these tablets for:

  • Email and customer apps directly from the cab
  • Photos of CMR documents that are automatically forwarded to the back office
  • Tachograph monitoring and reading driver cards
  • Monitor fuel consumption per vehicle

Rovetra was also one of the first customers to test AllConnects' new Bluetooth-based trailer tracking system — much more stable and durable than the previous generation. As early adopters, they were literally at the forefront of product development.

The ROI: efficiency and protection against heavy fines

The transport sector is known for its tight margins. However, investing in AGR-GPS is one that more than pays for itself — Rovetra confirms this:

Efficiency savings

Less administration, faster communication between drivers and back office via digital workflows.

🛡️

Quasi penalty-free driving

All transports correctly documented and forwarded to the government. AGR fines almost completely avoided.
