GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking is a technology that can determine and monitor the exact location of vehicles, people or objects in real time. A GPS tracker collects signals from satellites through the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network to calculate the coordinates, speed and direction of an object.
The tracker transmits this data via an Internet connection, cellular network, Wi-Fi or radio frequencies to a platform where the user can view the location. GPS trackers can be permanently installed (such as in vehicles) or portable (such as personal trackers).
GPS tracking allows you to view both live and historical navigation data, making it ideal for applications such as fleet management, machine and object tracking, and personal safety.
