What does a sensor with WiFi GPS do?
This is a very complete, active way to locate, track and secure corporate assets - both indoor and outdoor. It is a very reliable solution if you want to know where the asset is, and when an asset moves/falls/changes location. The combined WiFi-GPS technology ensures that the GPS tracking (which consumes a lot of battery) is activated only when there is no WiFi signal. This gives the battery a longer life.
How does this IoT technology work?
- You place a sensor with Wifi-GPS on the asset
- The tag uses WiFi or GPS to automatically transmit data to the online business application:
location determination, alerts on unwanted motion detection , temperature fluctuation, ...
What kind of business assets do you follow up on:
- Forklifts, cleaning machines, electric transpallets, welding stations ... What are the main assets?
- Battery saving since battery-consuming GPS is only used when no WiFi signal is present
- Combination of 2 tracking methods
- Additional features: accelerometer, temperature gauge, ...
- Certain settings such as the number of messages per day can be adjusted remotely
- Instant alarm on unwanted removal (if magnetic contact is broken)
