Guiding outdoor workers via geolocation to protect nature
Natuurpunt is an independent volunteer association consisting of several non-profit organizations. They work in different areas such as nature protection through purchase or management, studying and monitoring nature and nature education.
This year, Natuurpunt is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In those 20 years, it has come a long way to protect nature. Figuratively but also literally. Are there places that are difficult to reach by public transport? Then the different non-profit organizations can make use of 7 pool cars.
Need for correct costing
Diederik Willems, Employee Cell Facility, explains:
"The cost of those pool cars was passed on pro rata to the various non-profit organizations. Not according to how much they drove, but according to the number of personnel. But of course that is not correct at all. For example, people from management and study drive around a lot more than people from policy."
So there was a real need: correct costing. Preferably also with a lot less manual work.
Correct info with Track & Trace and driver identification
Thanks to Track &trace with driver identification, Natuurpunt now has a correct system that allows all mileage to be billed to the correct services and eliminates manual calculations.
Did someone forget to make a reservation through their own reservation system? Has someone not bathed properly? Then the car can also be found quickly.
In terms of fines, AllConnects' system has also proven its worth. If there is no way to find out who drove the car, this system can always point them in the right direction.
A convenient and user-friendly platform
At Natuurpunt, they are positive about the platform. They find it convenient and user-friendly. Managing and creating new users is very easy and you can get an incredible amount of data out of it.
Diederik talks about another plus:
"You can also plug in your maintenance alarms of the cars there. When is maintenance needed, technical inspection and things like that. We didn't actually have that before either. That's a plus that we also took out. We used to have to keep track of all that in Excel and get the mileage out. Now that all comes into your mailbox automatically."
Current badges were to be retained
Natuurpunt wanted the company badges that employees already use to check in and out could also be used for the track & trace system. When they went looking for a track & trace partner, this turned out to be less obvious than expected, says Diederik: "Bert has spoken to about 4 companies, but AllConnects was the only one who - with brio anyway - was able to get it done. They really had to put in some serious effort. Apparently it really wasn't an obvious thing to do."
An account manager who delivers on everything
About account manager Jaimie nothing but praise from both colleague within the Facility cell Bert Jacobs and Diederik:
Diederik: "You feel that, as a salesman, he has mastered this technical background. He juggles with it, thinks it's cool and understands everything. He masters it and it works out fine. And we can say the same about his service afterwards."
Bert: "Diederik and I were quickly convinced that we wanted to work with them. That had to do with what they could do with those badges and also with our project manager at AllConnects himself. He didn't promise anything he couldn't deliver, and he delivered on everything. And that's a very nice way of working. You're not buying a cat in a bag.
